For nearly a decade, EET’s founder Mike Dunne has committed himself to providing tangible solutions and alternative outlets for struggling veterans and their families. The horse was only too obvious. After meeting Mike, he made it his mission to get us on board - no matter what - and he succeeded with ease.
As a non-clinical option for veterans, we are astounded by the results of each and every program.
While simply sharing our knowledge and presenting an opportunity to connect with a horse, the therapeutic nature of the exchange comes organically. Whether participating in the gentling of wild horses, or learning Masterson Method Bodywork, we always leave feeling fortunate to have even been witness to the change.
For veterans that have been through the program we maintain an open door to return, as well as provide apprenticeship and job-training opportunities for those interested in continued education - perhaps even a trade with horses. For some it may be training, for others farrier school, dental, bodywork or veterinary. No interest is overlooked or discouraged.
